Renovate with care

Lead-safe renovation

Plan renovation work around lead-painted surfaces with attention to the credentials and practices your project requires.

Discuss your project

  1. Discuss the building age and the surfaces your renovation will disturb.
  2. Confirm the project scope and applicable lead-safe renovation requirements.
  3. Ask whether your project requires separate lead inspection, risk assessment, or abatement services.

Common question

Is lead-safe renovation the same as lead abatement?

They are different scopes. Describe the purpose of your project so the correct credentials and service requirements can be confirmed.

For properties across the Florida Panhandle, check our service area information and call to confirm scheduling.

Understanding the service

Renovation around painted surfaces

Lead-safe renovation addresses the way renovation, repair, and painting work is performed when applicable lead requirements affect the project. Describe the property, its use, building age if known, and the painted surfaces the work will disturb. Existing testing reports can help with planning.

Raven’s firm certification

The supplied EPA certificate identifies Raven as firm NAT-F208888-2 for renovation, repair, and painting activities, with an expiration date of October 18, 2029. The certificate’s scope is limited to those activities. Separate inspection, risk assessment, or abatement work requires its own scope and applicable credentials.

Work scope and communication

Discuss preparation, protection of adjacent spaces, cleanup, occupant access, and the records included with the job. Before work begins, clarify which repairs and finishes are part of the contract and which are handled separately. Your project’s purpose and conditions determine the appropriate approach.
