Understanding the service
What this service helps you understand
Asbestos testing helps identify whether sampled building materials contain asbestos before renovation, repair, purchase decisions, or removal planning. Tell us which rooms and materials are involved and what work you intend to perform. A targeted sampling visit and a broader building survey have different scopes.
How a project is planned
We discuss the property, review available reports, and establish which materials or areas need evaluation. Ask which sampling and analysis methods will be used, whether access will affect finishes, and what written results are included. Results relate to the materials sampled; untested areas may require additional investigation.
Using the findings
Testing and abatement are separate services. Findings can inform the next stage of your project, including a removal scope where needed. Before the visit, gather the building age if known, renovation plans, photographs, and any previous surveys. Leave suspected materials undisturbed while the evaluation is arranged.
What to have ready when you contact us
Your city, property type, affected areas, reason for requesting service, preferred timing, and any existing inspection reports help us prepare for the conversation. Describe access restrictions and whether the property is occupied. We will discuss scope and scheduling before arrangements are finalized.
