Plan before disturbance

Asbestos abatement

Discuss professional removal needs for suspected or identified asbestos-containing materials before renovation or demolition.

Discuss your project

  1. Share the building information, planned work, and any existing material survey or lab results.
  2. Discuss project-specific contractor credentials, permits, notifications, and work scope.
  3. Confirm the removal plan and any independent inspection or clearance requirements.

Common question

Can appearance confirm asbestos?

Appearance alone cannot confirm a material’s asbestos content. Ask about appropriate inspection and testing before disturbing suspected materials.

For properties across the Florida Panhandle, check our service area information and call to confirm scheduling.

Understanding the service

Removal planning for identified materials

Asbestos abatement is a project-specific service for identified asbestos-containing materials. Renovation and demolition plans, material surveys, laboratory results, and the condition of the building help establish the scope. Testing should be arranged separately when the materials have not yet been characterized.

Coordinating the project

Before scheduling, discuss the applicable contractor credentials, work-area controls, occupant access, notifications, permits, disposal arrangements, and any independent monitoring or clearance. Requirements vary with the project; a written scope should identify the responsibilities of each party.

Preparing your property

Share drawings, photographs, previous surveys, and the areas your contractor plans to disturb. Let the team know about tenants, business operations, access limitations, and your project schedule. Confirm what completion records will be provided and how the abatement work connects to subsequent reconstruction.
