Project planning
Connect paint testing to the work you are planning
Practical lead based paint testing planning for Florida Panhandle property owners: scope, access, documentation and questions for Raven.

Start with the property and the decision ahead
Describe which painted components the project will disturb: walls, trim, doors, windows or cabinetry. Share the building age, prior results and the proposed work boundaries. Testing one surface should not be assumed to establish the status of every painted layer or component in the building.
What to clarify before work is scheduled
Ask which method is proposed, which components are included and what written results you will receive. Paint testing and a lead risk assessment are different scopes. Confirm the professional qualifications and method applicable to the purpose of the project rather than assuming a renovation certificate includes every inspection activity.
Costs, approvals and project records
Keep the report with your renovation plan and share it with the parties performing the work. Raven’s EPA firm reference NAT-F208888-2 concerns renovation, repair and painting; it is not a separate abatement certification. Discuss lead-safe renovation and any separately qualified inspection or abatement professionals needed before removal begins.
