Project planning
Separate restoration needs from remodeling upgrades
Practical post disaster kitchen bathroom remodeling planning for Florida Panhandle property owners: scope, access, documentation and questions for Raven.

Start with the property and the decision ahead
Start with the damage report, completed mitigation work and the rooms requiring rebuilding. List cabinets, counters, fixtures, walls and flooring that need evaluation. Identify the choices you want to change while rebuilding, rather than combining every improvement into an undefined restoration scope.
What to clarify before work is scheduled
Environmental evaluation, affected-material removal and drying should be coordinated before replacement finishes. Ask who supplies any independent assessment, required trade work and permit coordination. Restoration, kitchen remodeling and bathroom remodeling can have different approval and payment responsibilities even when they occur at the same property.
Costs, approvals and project records
The proposal should distinguish damage-related tasks from elective upgrades, with selections, schedule and change approvals clearly identified. Keep carrier approvals and testing or drying records with construction documents. Confirm what Raven will perform, what another trade must supply and how completion will be documented.
